The series of bloody acts in Favoriten does not decrease: on Thursday evening alone, two more incidents took place on Reumannplatz in which two men were injured. A 28-year-old suffered serious cuts and stab wounds after a knife attack. However, the perpetrator managed to escape – now the police are looking for him!
It was around 5:15 p.m. when an argument broke out between the 28-year-old and the unknown man. The perpetrator then allegedly walked up to the victim from behind near a restaurant and attacked him with the knife. He inflicted several cuts and stab wounds on the man’s hand, forearm and leg.
Unknown is said to have a reddish beard
The unknown man immediately fled and a search for him has so far been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old received emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Team and was taken to hospital. There is no danger to life. The investigation is in full swing and that is why the police are asking for the public’s help: The striker is said to have had a reddish beard and was approximately 1.80 meters tall. He was also wearing dark clothing at the time of the crime.
Two bloody acts in just 15 minutes
Horrible: 15 minutes later there was another incident involving a knife – near the Reumannplatz metro station. Police were able to arrest a man with facial injuries after a scuffle. He also had a knife with him. He stated that he had been attacked by several people. He only had the knife with him for self-defense. The officers found no other injured people.
Soldier (21) honored after incident in Favoriten
Just a few days ago there were two more attacks on Reumannplatz in a short period of time. A 21-year-old wanted to rush to help when several women were being harassed by a group of youths. He was also attacked with a knife. The helper was a military soldier and was honored by Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner.
Last Monday there was another knife attack: the attacker was a Syrian of only 18 years old. He’s been caught.
