One of the greatest names in motorsport history is back on the track. After spending some time in the simulator, Sebastian Vettel will drive the Porsche Hypercar, the 963 LMH, during the test at MotorLand Aragón which serves as preparation for the Germans for the legendary 24h of Le Mans.
The team will be joined by the four-time Formula 1 world champion Porsche-Penske rolling next week for a 36 hour endurance test. The Alcañiz circuit is a test bed for many teams ahead of Le Mans as it offers similar characteristics and with Vettel at the controls, the spotlight is on what will happen on the Spanish track.
“I’m looking forward to testing the Porsche 963. I already had the opportunity to feel the car during the test in Weissach. I have always followed other categories, and my curiosity about endurance tests encouraged me to try this one. Now I’m excited about the Aragon test, and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel,” explained Vettel.
Matt Campbell, Michael Christensen, Frederic Makowiecki, Kevin Estre, Andre Lotterer and Laurens Vanthoor They will go with the Teuton. They are the two starting trio that will join them in the WEC and they should prepare for the 24 hours of Le Mans, where Vettel will be there or not. There is no doubt that this test is a clear sign that the bug has it and no one will pass up the opportunity to have a driver of his stature in their ranks…

With Vettel’s debut outside the simulator, it’s all good news for Porsche and that is Lusail, in the first test of the World Championship, They had a great debut, achieving victory in car #6 and in car #5 closing out the podium. At Imola they will be looking to continue that dominance. At Le Mans they will be looking for their 20th overall victory.
