Police officers found a drunk and extremely aggressive man in a metro station in central Vienna early on Wednesday morning. The 43-year-old even punched an officer in the face with his fist. He was generally reported.
The officers were alerted because the man had noticed aggressive behavior at the Schottenpassage. When police arrived, the 43-year-old was lying under an escalator. He immediately refused to cooperate and insulted the officers before punching one in the face.
The drunk, who had a blood alcohol level of 2.48, was temporarily arrested. After his interrogation he was released. The police officer was able to continue his work.
