The Basque government will apply the extension of aid contracts for 2024 from Thursday, April 4

Date:

DC. OO. has already signed the agreement and it is expected that UGT will do the same soon. Both ELA and LAB have announced that they will not sign the pact.

The Basque government will submit an application from tomorrow, thursday, the expansion of the cAid contracts for 2024 for permanent workers. The extension, which will benefit 700 employees of the Basque government, was signed by CC. OO., and it is expected that UGT will do the same soon.

The executive had today called on the trade unions with representation in the General Board of Directors to sign the proposal to extend the reception contract for the permanent workforce of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi.

The ELA union had claimed that the Basque government should guarantee partial retirement of permanent staff ‘without the need for a new agreement’. “This right is already included in both the General Table agreement and other sectoral agreements,” he stressed.

The LAB union, in turn, has accused the executive of “trying to fire civil servants with cuts” and “not wanting to negotiate the early retirement schedule.”

This year, between 500 and 700 civil servants could find themselves without an aid contract
