Gašić described that between 1:45 p.m. and 3:52 p.m., Danka left the garden alone and walked on the street. At around 1.50pm the mother, who was desperately looking for the child, is said to have seen a white car and a man standing next to it. According to a statement from one of the suspects, the two men were on a work assignment. A short time later the two hit Danka with their car. They confessed, the police minister said.
After the accident, the men put the little girl in the trunk. A short time later, Danka’s father allegedly stopped the suspects and asked if they had seen the girl. However, they pretended not to know anything and continued driving.
