South of Graz – Post office attacked: police catch blundering robbers

Date:

A suspected robber was arrested on Thursday afternoon after a brief escape following a raid on a post office in Premstätten (Graz area).

As the Styrian State Police announced on X (formerly Twitter), the perpetrator wore an FFP2 mask as a mask and a hoodie. “The perpetrator threatened and demanded money,” said police spokesman Markus Lamb. The man did not appear armed. He had to flee without loot.

An immediately started manhunt was successful: a suspect was arrested shortly after the attack. A patrol from Premstätten picked him up. It is not yet known how many people were present during the attack. At least no one was injured.
