A traffic accident on February 7 in Voitsberg, Styria, had dramatic consequences. A car collided with a cyclist (74), in which the man appeared to be only slightly injured. Two days later his condition deteriorated and he had to undergo emergency surgery. The 74-year-old died a month later.
A 74-year-old cyclist from the Voitsberg district was at a roundabout in the capital of the Styrian district on February 7 and intended to ride towards Fabrikstrasse. At the same time, a 59-year-old woman from Krems drove her car into the roundabout in front of the cyclist. The 74-year-old hit the 59-year-old’s car and fell.
Complications only occurred a few days after the accident
At first, the consequences of the accident did not seem that bad. The 74-year-old was taken to LKH Graz, but was released into home care after outpatient treatment. Two days later, the man suffered health complications and had to undergo emergency surgery and be put into an artificial deep sleep that same night.
He tragically succumbed to his injuries a month later in mid-March. Only then was a report filed with the police. Now the PI Voitsberg is investigating.
