Hold onto cars for now – two drivers showed up on radar traveling at over 120mph

Date:

It is not yet widely known that the police can now even confiscate the cars of speeding offenders for excessive speed: last weekend, officers in Lower Austria arrested three speeding offenders.

The two motorists shown who were caught on the A5 near Mistelbach on Friday were twice as lucky. On the one hand, they were not involved in an accident during their crazy drives, which would have been a death sentence at speeds over 200 km/h, but on the other hand, they got to keep their car. At least for the time being: the drivers were not stopped by the police, but drove against the mobile radar.

Two speeders in a few minutes
Around 2:50 p.m., the first car with a Viennese license plate roared past the speed camera in the direction of Brno – the measurement showed 211 km/h. But the reckless record didn’t last long, as just a few minutes later a Hungarian car drove past the radar box at 224 km/h. Both permit holders have been reported to the district administration.

At 170 km/h through the 100 zone
A Czech driver who was caught on Saturday on the S3 near Hollabrunn has already lost his driver’s license. Around 4 p.m. he drove through the 100 speed zone at a speed of 170 km/h. Directly past the officers of the Stockerau highway police and their laser pistol. The 41-year-old was reported and was no longer allowed to continue the journey.
