On Monday afternoon, a terrible tragedy occurred in a single-family home in Ober-Grafendorf (Lower Austria). A 61-year-old shot his wife and then himself.
Officers were called after loud gunshots were heard in the couple’s home. The 61-year-old and his 60-year-old wife were found dead on arrival at around 2.30pm. The officers were also able to obtain a suicide note.
Investigations are underway
Accordingly, the man allegedly shot his wife with a pistol at her request. The background was probably a serious illness of one of the spouses. The State Criminal Investigation Department of Lower Austria is investigating at full speed.
