The driver was dizzy – the motorcyclist collided with a street lamp

Date:

Late Monday afternoon, a 66-year-old man from Switzerland was riding his motorcycle on Lustenauerstrasse (L204) in Dornbirn towards Lustenau. A sudden dizziness caused him to sway and hit the edge of the sidewalk.

The Swiss then lost control of the touring bike, which weighed around 340 kg. He drove along the sidewalk and collided with a street light pole. The motorcycle overturned and the handlebars fell to the ground, causing serious leg injuries.

After receiving initial care from the rescue and emergency services, he was taken to Dornbirn Hospital. The severely damaged motorcycle was removed by the breakdown service.
