On Tuesday afternoon, a serious accident occurred between a car and a tractor on the B 69 near Bad Radkersburg (Southeast Styria district). An 80-year-old from the South-East Styrian district was injured.
Around 1:30 p.m., the 80-year-old drove her car on the B 69 from Halbenrain towards Bad Radkersburg. At the same time, a 48-year-old from the South-East Styrian district drove an agricultural tractor with a tank trailer in the opposite direction.
Vehicles collided
For an unknown reason, the woman suddenly drove her car into the oncoming lane and a collision occurred. The force of the impact caused the trailer to disconnect from the tractor and come to a stop on the other side of the road. Both the car and the tractor ended up on the cycle path next to the road.
Rescue workers took the woman to hospital
As a result of the accident, the lady suffered injuries of an unknown nature. After initial care, the Red Cross took the 80-year-old to the LKH Bad Radkersburg. The 48-year-old was unharmed. There was significant damage to the vehicles. The fire brigades Altneudörfl, Mureck and Bad Radkersburg were present.
