A tragic accident took place in the Swiss canton of Graubünden on Tuesday evening. In Vrin, a 78-year-old was tending a friend’s sheep. While trying to rescue one of the lost animals, he fell into a crevice in the wall of the stable and got stuck in it. For him, all help came too late.
According to previous police findings, the elderly man wanted to tend the sheep of a farmer friend. He noticed that one of the animals was not there. He found the missing four-legged friend a little later – he was stuck in a crevice at the edge of the stable. While trying to retrieve the sheep, the senior fell into this chasm and got stuck upside down.

Another acquaintance went looking for the missing 78-year-old later that evening. He found the missing man and freed him from the hole. For the older man, however, all help came too late. The emergency doctor was only able to determine his death. Officials of the Graubünden Cantonal Police are concerned about the exact circumstances of the death.
