Priority car overlooked
The accident happened around noon at the intersection of Böhmerwald Landesstraße and the B 127 in Altenfelden. According to the police, the 77-year-old driver may have overlooked a car that was driving on the main road when turning.
In addition to the pregnant woman, the 23-year-old driver and his passenger (20) and a 25-year-old (all from the Rohrbach district) were also in his car. These three other passengers were also injured and the rescue team took them to the hospital in Rohrbach.
“We were able to figure it out on our own”
“We immediately rescued one person from the vehicle using rescue equipment,” the Altenfelden volunteer fire brigade reported after the operation. And further: “The occupants of the second car were able to get out under their own power and were cared for by the Red Cross.”
Traffic had to be diverted during the cleaning work.
