A 21-year-old was caught red-handed and allegedly sold cannabis regularly for months to students at a high school in the Floridsdorf district of Vienna.
As police spokesman Markus Dittrich announced, the 21-year-old – an Austrian citizen – was likely a “regular customer” at the school. At least ten customers are said to have bought from him regularly. In the 21-year-old’s apartment, the police were able to seize 62 grams of cannabis herb and 705 euros in cash.
During interrogation, the 21-year-old confessed. He was reported in general on behalf of the Vienna Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The drug problem has been known for a long time
The drug problem had apparently been known at the school in question for some time. The corresponding complaints had reached the school management and also the district administration and were passed on to the police, which formed the starting point for the investigation.
