What drives young people, how do they see the world? In his series “We’re not like that!” Robert Schneider tries to talk to young people. He recently met Daniel Moosbrugger.
The object that 19-year-old Daniel Moosbrugger brings to the interview, the memory that has grown close to his heart, is a microphone. “This is the first microphone I ever bought. At the time it cost 35 euros. I was twelve years old. I like to produce music myself. I started with drum ‘n’ bass, an electronic music that emerged in the early 1990s. But I’ve always been a big fan of hip-hop and started making my own beats. That wasn’t enough for me in the long term. I wanted to tell a story, so rap wasn’t far away. I then recorded the raps with this microphone.”
