A brief moment of fear on Tuesday morning for drivers in Langenrohr in Lower Austria! All types of fuel were available at a standard price of 9,999 euros. But it was clear: it was a technical error in the price display.
Diesel, Super and Super+ for 9,999 euros – quite expensive! That’s what the drivers in Langenrohr in the Tulln district thought too. At around 9:30 am they were driving along Tullner Straße towards Tulln on the Danube when they noticed the huge prices on a petrol station display.
Technical issue
The affected gas station reassures: the price post failed due to technical problems. “Only the error message 9,999 was displayed,” an employee explains. Of course, customers did not fill up for this exorbitant price. In the event of such a technical malfunction, the amount stated directly at the petrol pump always applies.
Shortly afterwards the correct fuel prices were displayed again. Presumably the drivers who paid attention to the price pole stayed away from the affected gas station as long as possible.
