In Alsace, France, a man slightly injured two primary school students with a knife. The attack took place near the school in the town of Souffelweyersheim. The two girls were taken to a hospital and the suspect was arrested.
The police prefecture in Strasbourg announced this on Thursday. The motive of the 28-year-old alleged attacker was initially unknown. It was said that he did not have full mental faculties.
According to reports in the French media, the victims are six and eleven years old. They were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
For safety reasons, the other students had to temporarily stay in the building, which was closed. Medical-psychological help was organised.
