Police officers experienced dramatic seconds during a routine check on Saturday night in Sieghartskirchen in the Tulln district. During an official act, a driver drove into the patrol car without braking.
The officials managed to get to safety at the last minute, a police officer suffered minor knee injuries during the probably life-saving jump. However, there was no criminal background and the driver’s alcohol test was negative. The driver is believed to have collided with the police car through carelessness.
Seriously injured motorcyclist
A motorcycle accident in The Hague in the Amstetten district ended much less lightly on Friday evening. A motorcyclist entered the oncoming lane and collided with an oncoming car. The 23-year-old suffered serious injuries – hospital.
