The threat was directed at a specific person, Innsbruck police said in response to a question from ‘Krone’. The ominous caller claimed to have placed an explosive in the basement of the apartment complex in the Saggen district.
Major operation activated, house evacuated
The bomb threat came in on Sunday afternoon around 3:15 PM via an emergency call from the police. The result was a major operation. The entire house was evacuated and carefully searched with the help of an explosives sniffer dog. “No suspicious objects were discovered,” investigators said.
There was no concrete information about the caller on Monday. However, the detectives assume that the perpetrator comes from the victim’s circle of acquaintances.
