Date:

The Urfahraner fair in Linz always offers exuberant fun for young and old. But here too there are incidents again and again: on Saturday, on the day of the opening, three eleven-year-olds were threatened, beaten and chased. seven young people because of a small amount of money.

Three eleven-year-olds visited the “Urfix” on Saturday and were buying a ticket for a ride when one of the children dropped a two-euro coin on the ground. Then a group of seven young people approached them, one of whom took the coin.

Persecuted eleven year olds by seven
Because these young people were noticeably bigger and older and also claimed that they wanted to exchange money with them, which scared the children, they distanced themselves from the group of young people. But she followed them. Suddenly, one of them struck an eleven-year-old boy in the foot, causing him to fall and injure his knee.

Only adults chased them away
The children continued to walk and run away, but were again picked up, detained, harassed and asked for money by the youths. Only adults who noticed the situation and intervened could drive the young people away. Police then searched the fairgrounds and identified the two main suspects, a 13-year-old Hungarian from Linz and a 14-year-old.

Second incident a little later
Also on Saturday evening, a 15 and a 16 year old from the Urfahr area reported to the police station at the fair because two other young people had stood up in front of them and demanded money.

Both captured
Here too, a quick search yielded the desired result: one was caught on the Danube cycle path, the other on the fairgrounds. One, a 17-year-old Syrian from Linz, refused to testify. The second, a 16-year-old stateless person, said he was just there. They were both reported generally.
