In Smethwick, England, a town in the West Midlands, two teenage robbers attacked a shop with a machete. But the duo had done the math without the courageous store employee and courageous passers-by…
Now-released CCTV footage shows the man, armed with a machete, threatening the seller, saying: “We’re going to stab you, give me the damn money” as his friend begins to help himself from the shelves.
But the employee was unimpressed, threw two bottles of wine at the robbers, ran out of the store and held the front door closed. The criminal armed with the machete desperately tried to open the front door and crashed into the glass door, partially shattering the window (see video above).
Brave passersby helped the employee keep the door locked. The two perpetrators eventually fled the store through a window, but one of the two, a 17-year-old, has now been arrested by the police.
