There is currently a giant hot dog in the middle of Times Square in New York. The art installation immediately became a selfie magnet for tourists and locals alike.
The approximately 20-meter-long work of art by the American duo Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw can be seen on the famous square until June 13, according to the organizers.
“Spectacle, celebration and criticism”
The work ‘Hot Dog in the City’, which stands on a kind of cart and can therefore be lifted at an angle, is at the same time ‘spectacle, celebration and criticism’, it was said.
Shortly after its installation, the statue became a magnet for selfies from dozens of people in the Manhattan square, where various works of art are repeatedly displayed.
