Around 8 p.m. the sirens sounded around Neumarkt an der Ybbs. For an unknown reason, a fire broke out in a residential building and two people were injured, according to the fire brigade. They were taken to hospital for further examination.

Eight fire brigades rushed to the scene, including respiratory protection teams that battled the flames. The fire was quickly under control. How the fire started is still unclear and is the subject of a police investigation.
Due to the operation, the national highway through Neumarkt had to be temporarily closed. A diversion has been set up.
