The Kramsach mountain rescue service had to go on a strange mission on Saturday evening. In Alpbach, a Pole (25) rode on a wooden sled across a steep meadow. He ended up in a forest with the winter device and broke his femur.
A group of Polish holidaymakers celebrated a party on Saturday evening in a holiday home in the Alpbachtal. Shortly before 6 a.m., three men left to ride a wooden sled down the steep meadow.
Finally, in early May, only a 25-year-old dared to undertake this unusual adventure, driving about 200 meters into the valley over a steep and wet meadow. He reached a high speed and could no longer stop in front of a forest.
Crashed into a tree
He jumped over an embankment with the sled and crashed into a tree. He suffered serious injuries to his left thigh. He received first aid from the Kramsach mountain rescue service and was rescued from the steep terrain. The emergency medical helicopter eventually took him to the Kufstein district hospital.
