Despite the shortages, premature babies are not allowed to stay in kindergarten

Date:

Christof, now five years old, had a life-threatening illness and therefore still needs more help than other children. That’s why his devoted parents fought for their son to stay in kindergarten for another year – in vain. How does the community and authorities justify this? We asked around.

Christof (5) did not have an easy start in life. He was born three months before his due date, followed by a lung and brain hemorrhage – a threat to his life. “But he did it,” says father Hermann Holzmüller (46) from Prambachkirchen. The small pile of people became a smart boy who, as an integration child, has been going to the Caritas kindergarten in his home community for two years.
