Transcription Available – Have US Agents Allowed 30-Year-Olds to Drown Helplessly?

Date:

In the United States, a man has drowned in front of inactive police officers. The man had entered a reservoir in late May when officials wanted to question him, according to video released Monday by authorities in Tempe, Arizona. According to a transcript, the man called for help, but the officers did not respond. The three police officers have been suspended pending the results of an investigation.

The police were called to the reservoir at night because a couple had made “noise”. According to the announcement, they first questioned the man’s 34-year-old partner. Then they wanted to interrogate the 30-year-old as well. However, as shown in the video, he climbs over a railing into the lake. The officials explain to him that he is not allowed to swim in the lake, but swim under a bridge.

Rest of the video under lock and key
The video ends here, the authorities are keeping the other recordings under lock and key for being too “sensitive”. Instead, they released a transcript. It says how a cop yells to the man, “What do you want to do now?” He replies, “I’m going to drown. I’m going to drown.” The policeman replies, “But no!”

A second police officer tells the man in distress to swim to a bridge pier and hold on to it. “I can’t, I can’t,” says the swimmer. “I’m not going to jump after you,” says the second officer. The officers also do not respond to the man’s girlfriend, who begs them to help her partner.

“I didn’t show up for about 30 seconds”
“Can you hear me?” are the last words attributed to the drowning man. Later, one of the police officers states that he “didn’t show up for about 30 seconds”. His body was then recovered late in the morning. According to the authorities, the deceased had no permanent address.
