A previously unknown perpetrator inflicted a deep cut on a horse in Carinthia on Sunday evening.
Between Saturday 10 p.m. and Sunday 6 a.m., a previously unknown perpetrator entered a horse pasture in Unterhaus in Spittal/Drau. He was given access to the associated stable boxes. In one of the stables stood a 28-year-old horse of the Odenburger breed.
Deep cuts
Early in the morning, between 5 and 6 a.m., the stable renter wanted to feed the horses and take them to the paddock when she noticed a deep cut on the horse’s right thigh.
She alerted the horse’s owners and they immediately called a vet to have the wound treated. The vet had to suture the wound in several layers and clearly determined that there had been external influences.
