In Burgbernheim (Bavaria), an 18-year-old allegedly shot his father (54) while hunting (see video above). The young man has already turned himself in to the police, but the case remains mysterious.
On Wednesday, hikers found the body of butcher Claus from Ludwigsburg (Baden-Württemberg) near a pond near Burgbernheim. Son Niels had informed his mother about the incident and she called the police. The investigators assume an intentional crime and arrest the 18-year-old.
According to information from “Bild” it is still unclear under what circumstances Claus died. Niels had thrown a weapon into the pond. Divers had already found the rifle and another in his car. According to the Public Prosecution Service, a shot was fired. Which of the two is the murder weapon is now being investigated.
Traces of blood visible
Traces of blood are still visible where the body was found several days after the crime. For example, a snail with traces of blood was discovered crawling through an adjacent meadow. The motive for the crime is still unclear. The young man is in custody and remains silent.
“The family did not lack money, but perhaps love,” says an acquaintance who always experienced his father as very strict. Niels has two brothers and sisters, aged 10 and 17.
