Attempted murder charge – “Out of deep hatred”: Woman stabbed ex three times

Date:

The Salzburg Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges and charged a Bosnian woman (43) living in Salzburg with attempted murder. She is said to have stabbed her ex in October 2023. Voice messages revealed the six-time convicted criminal.

A Bosnian woman (43) living in Salzburg must appear before the jury of the regional court on July 2 for attempted murder. The Public Prosecution Service has now filed a report. In detail it concerns an argument with the ex-partner and three stabbings – happened on October 18, 2023 in an apartment in the Bahnhofsviertel in Salzburg.

According to the thirteen-page indictment, the woman, who has already been convicted six times, is said to have stabbed her ex with a knife out of hatred, with whom she had had a kind of on-again, off-again relationship for fifteen years. “Please get the police,” the victim said to a passerby at the central station after the bloody crime. A rescue operation followed. During the initial bedside interview, the victim told about an unknown person who had attacked him.

Only gradually were investigators able to expose the incident as a relationship act. She confessed the relationship dispute to the police. She also accused her ex: he would terrorize and attack her, but she remained unharmed. It turned out that a friend of the woman was present during the bloody argument. Although she herself had a cut on her arm, she initially only spoke of being hit in the face.

Threatened with murder
Further witness statements and especially clear voice messages testify to the suspect’s “deep hatred” for the victim, as the indictment states: “I will stab him, I swear. “I’ll kill him,” she shouted into her cell phone a few weeks before the crime. And even a day after the incident, she sent a voice message saying, “I swear I’m getting rid of him. This time I’m really going to do it.”

The victim is represented by lawyer Stefan Rieder. If you are convicted of the charges, you could face a prison sentence of up to 20 years or life in prison.
