Trial in Feldkirch – “God gave me permission to kill my father”

Date:

On the orders of the Feldkirch Regional Court, a mentally ill Oberlander was admitted to a forensic therapeutic center. He claimed that God had given him permission to kill his father.

The fact that nothing happened to the father of the 29-year-old victim is not only thanks to the police special operations team. Rather, it is the cry of terror from the mentally ill son himself when he reported himself to the police station in Rankweil at the end of July last year: ‘I don’t want to do this, but God has given me permission to stab my father. .”

When the son tells him that he is already in his father’s apartment but is still at work, the officer immediately sends a special unit there. The 29-year-old is arrested and taken to Rankweil State Hospital. A similar incident had already occurred two days before the crime.

The suspect also threatened the doctor
There the person concerned called the Feldkirch district administration and was told that he was the devil of the medical officer. He threatened the latter if he received another letter asking him to take a monthly drug test. “I had a psychosis. I thought the doctor was a Nazi,” said 29-year-old Oberlander. Of course he realizes that he is sick and needs treatment. But like all other people, he also loves his freedom and that is why he asks the jury not to send him to a forensic therapeutic center.

Court psychiatrist Reinhard Haller confirmed that the early retiree was mentally incompetent at the time of the crime. However, due to the diagnosed schizophrenia in the affected person, Haller assumes that even more serious acts will occur if he is not treated inpatient. The Senate agrees. So the briefing is a done deal.
