Popping effect and dramatic development in active animal protection – Noah’s Ark in Styria. On Tuesday morning, the detectives came to a court order to search the house. In focus: animal cruelty, infidelity, coercion against employees. All relevant documents were seized.
So far it was “only” allegations that caused Noah’s Ark led by chairman Karl Forstner to take a dent – now the development is getting dramatic. “There is a corresponding suspicion, so with the approval of the court a search was ordered,” confirms Hansjörg Bacher, spokesman for the Graz prosecutor’s office. “Animal cruelty, infidelity, coercion against employees are being investigated, all relevant documents have been seized.”
Veterinary costs increased
The focus of the investigations is chairman Karl Forstner, his wife, who runs the veterinary clinic, and another veterinarian involved. Active animal welfare covers about half of the veterinary clinic. Here it is determined how insider circles confirm to us whether and to what extent animals have been treated and how it is possible that veterinary costs have increased exorbitantly, despite the sparse Corona times. There is also the suspicion of animal cruelty, especially pathetic in an animal shelter. In addition, workers should have been forced.
The “Arche” was already in turmoil during the election of the chairman, where Karl Forstner was confirmed – and where there is doubt that everything was legally correct…
dog abused?
That leaves everyone speechless: Witnesses say a zoo keeper seriously assaulted a dog with an iron bar! The man was then released – due to the acute lack of zookeepers (Forstner immediately put critics of his management style and his opponent on leave) this person should be back as a zookeeper. Noah’s ark initially – despite a request – did not comment on this.
The statement of active animal protection: “We do not know the allegations. But we are sure that everything can be refuted.” Everything was legally correct, and of course the presumption of innocence applies to all involved.
