Wanting to get back on a plane, a man at Hamburg airport caused delays to ten planes. All boardings had to be temporarily stopped on Friday morning for safety reasons.
The man had left something behind on a plane that had just landed and therefore ran into the security area through an alarm-protected passage, a German police spokeswoman said. “That’s why we started a manhunt and the person was wanted.”
After half an hour everything is clear
After about half an hour the signal was given: the passenger had taken the wrong route back to the plane to retrieve what he had forgotten. The spokeswoman initially did not know what it was about.
He got the item back from the flight crew, but now has to expect a bill for the police intervention. “You just have to take the paths that are allowed,” the spokeswoman said.
The incident resulted in delays for ten aircraft, which were temporarily unable to land or take off due to the man on the runway.
