A 27-year-old was seriously injured in a paragliding accident in Oetz (Tyrol). Shortly before landing, an abrupt descent occurred, which prevented the pilot from landing at the planned landing site and had to make an emergency landing.
On Friday around 2:50 p.m., the 27-year-old took off with his paraglider from the launch ramp in the Hochoetz ski area. The flight went almost without any problems, but an incident occurred shortly before landing at 3:30 PM.

Because suddenly the paraglider sank, as the police describe it. As a result, the local population was unable to fly to the planned landing site and had to make an emergency landing in the Oetz area instead. During the trial, the 27-year-old hit a garden fence with his left leg and suffered serious injuries to his left knee.
He was first cared for by the residents of the house and then taken by ambulance to the hospital in Zams.
