The German police in Cologne have been searching for a missing three-year-old girl since Friday with a large contingent. On Saturday morning there had been no trace of the toddler for more than twelve hours.
He was walking with his aunt in the Bürgerpark on Friday evening, a police spokesperson said on Saturday. There the woman lost sight of the girl. “We are conducting an extensive search for the child,” the spokesperson continued. However, so far the search has yielded no results.
According to the information, the girl was visiting family in Cologne with her parents from Kassel. “The child’s family is completely unfamiliar with Cologne, so there are no contact addresses,” police said in a statement.
Search with dogs and water police
The officers are also searching with dogs and the water police. “We are now gathering more troops in the morning,” the spokesperson continued. The Bürgerpark was “very well filled” last night.
The case is reminiscent of a missing child in the German state of Lower Saxony. Six-year-old Arian has been missing there since April 22. The police assume that the autistic boy left his home on his own. Search attempts have so far been unsuccessful.
