A woman from Salzburg (60) was sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted murder. She appealed the verdict, but to no avail. The Supreme Court dismissed the complaint. Now it only concerns the amount of the fine.
The “Krone” reported on the case: After an argument over four cats given away, an alcoholic woman from Salzburg drove to her ex-boyfriend in Salzburg on June 13, 2023, went into the garden of the house and stabbed the man with a knife . During the trial before the Salzburg Regional Court in mid-December, she explained: “I just wanted to talk to him.”
The eight jurors unanimously found attempted murder and found the suspect not guilty: 15 years in prison. However, she filed a nullity complaint and appealed against it. The argument was: She was not healthy because of her alcohol content of 2.7 per mille, linked to tablets.
The Supreme Court referred to the clear common sense reports and dismissed the complaint. Now the Oberlandesgericht Linz only has to decide on the amount of the sentence.
