After an unusual accident, an 85-year-old man had to be flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck on Sunday morning. As police reported, the man was a passenger in a “golf cart” driven by his 56-year-old son. When he got out briefly, the vehicle carrying the old man rolled away and crashed into an adjacent forest.
Cause still unclear
The two drove on a forest road to the Perchertal in the municipality of Pertisau (Schwaz district) and had to stop in front of a closed barrier. Why the vehicle with the father started moving is still the subject of a police investigation.
