Pro-Palestine demonstration – red paint spilled in front of Laxenburg Castle

Date:

Red paint was spilled during an unannounced demonstration in front of Laxenburg Castle. The two activists, together with others, protested against a lecture by two Israeli scientists. The police were called because of the cries of ‘Free Palestine’.

One of the activists who spilled red paint in front of the entrance to Laxenburg Castle was taken to Mödling police station. The demonstration was unregistered and was against a lecture by two Israelis.

“We firmly reject bringing a conflict from other regions to Lower Austria. These self-proclaimed activists only add fuel to the fire with their actions. “I maintain: there is zero tolerance for anti-Semitic attacks in Lower Austria,” Lower Austria Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner said of the incident.
