A mass collision took place near Ilz on the A2-Südautobahn towards Graz on Friday afternoon around half past one. Eight vehicles collided with each other, Styrian police said. Seven people were injured to an unknown extent.
Dog had to be rescued from transport crate
A dog was also stuck in a transport box in the trunk of a car, said Christain Neuhold of the Bad Waltersdorf volunteer fire brigade. Fortunately, they were able to save him and he was unharmed. Three fire brigades (fire brigades Neudorf bei Ilz, Ilz and Bad Waltersdorf), the Red Cross and the police were able to arrive quickly on the scene thanks to the perfect rescue track. How the mass collision could have occurred is now being investigated.
