After the attack on May 10, the Ukrainian army had to evacuate its forward positions and several villages. Ukrainian media reported that armed forces were killed and equipment destroyed. That is why proceedings were initiated against 28 commanders. Several units, such as the 125th Brigade, are affected.
General exchanged
The commanding general in Kharkov has already been replaced. In addition, the region’s governor asked construction companies why the fortifications had not been built as ordered.
The advance of Russian troops in the area could only be slowed down after a few days (see video above). The heavy fighting at the front continues. President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that the Ukrainian army had regained control there. “The Ukrainian army has stopped Russian forces in the Kharkov area and is carrying out counter-offensives,” he said.
Russians 20 kilometers from Kharkov
Russian troops launched the ground offensive two weeks ago and occupied several Ukrainian villages. The frontline troops are currently less than 20 kilometers from the regional capital Kharkiv. According to experts, the new Russian attack is intended to tie down Ukrainian forces and push Russian artillery within firing range.
