A holidaymaker driving his sports car on Gerlossrasse on Friday came to an unexpected end. The driver and his passenger drove through the valley. He probably lost control of his vehicle in a sharp left bend due to the increased speed.
The speedster left the road and ended up on an adjacent embankment, where the vehicle was stopped by trees at the edge of the forest. The driver had to be flown by emergency helicopter to BKH Schwaz with significant injuries.
The passenger ran away
Meanwhile, his passenger had other plans and fled on foot. Moments later he turned around and returned to the scene of the accident. He was unharmed. The Gerlos fire brigade, the rescue service, the Heli 4 emergency medical helicopter and the police were present.
