A tragic accident took place near Bad Goisern (Upper Austria) on Saturday evening. After working on a hut, two locals drove a quad bike off a forest road and fell over an embankment. Despite serious injuries, the older man was able to call for help, but the younger man died at the scene of the accident.
Late on Saturday evening, the two men (39, 43) from Bad Goisern were on their quad bike on a forest path towards Bad Goisern after work. For reasons still unclear, the vehicle suddenly left the path and fell down an embankment, throwing the two workers down and seriously injuring them.

The older of the two called 911. When emergency services arrived, they found that the younger man was so seriously injured that the emergency physician’s immediate resuscitation measures were no longer effective and had to be stopped. The 39-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
