A man from Styria is said to have played sadomasochistic games with a 12-year-old girl before starting his career as a police officer and also filmed them. He is now on trial in Graz for serious sexual abuse and abuse of power.
He was the leader of a youth group when the then 23-year-old met the girl, who was only twelve years old. They continued their conversations via Snapchat and a friendship developed, the prosecutor explained during the trial in Graz. But it didn’t stop there. He liked the young girl and intensified the contact to such an extent that he asked her to perform sexual acts with her. What was written was continued through action – disguised as math tutoring!
“He gave her sexually related tasks; there were numerous such meetings,” says the prosecutor. They had sex for the first time at Christmas when she was 13. “Yes, she agreed. Which, legally speaking, has nothing to do with the case.” At this age, the legislator assumes that victims cannot yet make decisions for themselves. The suspect’s games with the girl even escalated into sadomasochistic acts: “She had to call him ‘master’, she was his ‘slave’.” .
The man’s lawyer, who came to the police after the relationship ended, responded that the victim was precocious and very sexually interested. “He was madly in love with her and treated her as an equal.” Her client bore no resemblance to an insidious pedophile trying to cover up his actions.
After the opening statements, the public was excluded from the trial. A verdict is still pending.
