In a Greek holiday area, a pilot accidentally released a load of several tons of water over a hotel. It involved an exercise by a firefighting aircraft that required landing further into the sea.
“People panicked, there was some damage, but fortunately no one was injured,” the hotelier said. The broadcaster Skai showed a video of the incident in the Greek holiday region of Halkidiki on Wednesday. Previously, firefighting aircraft had repeatedly picked up water in pairs for training purposes and then released it over the sea.
