A serious accident occurred on the S16 near Bings in Vorarlberg on Friday morning. A motorist drove his car into the side lane and collided head-on with an oncoming car.
The emergency services, who were called for an accident on the S16 at 07:00 on Friday, were presented with terrible images. At the Bings level, a 21-year-old driver, carrying his 17-year-old brother in the passenger seat, hit a truck and the car then collided with the oncoming lane in the one-lane area. He collided with an oncoming car with full force. This was driven by a 71-year-old German. A 65-year-old woman was also in the car.

All four people were injured in the crash, the 65-year-old had to be flown to hospital by rescue helicopter. The cars were badly damaged and are just piles of scrap. The S16 was completely blocked for about an hour.

The public prosecutor’s office in Feldkirch has called in an expert to clarify the course of the accident. Both vehicles were therefore seized.
