According to auction experts, a 150 million year old Stegosaurus skeleton could fetch as much as six million dollars (about 5.5 million euros) at an auction in New York.
The approximately six meters long and 3.50 meters high skeleton, nicknamed ‘Apex’, was ‘incredibly well preserved’, auction house Sotheby’s announced on Wednesday.

“Apex” was discovered in 2022 in the US state of Colorado and is expected to be auctioned on July 17.
In recent years, dinosaur skeletons or parts thereof have been repeatedly auctioned for millions. However, many experts are critical of auctioning off scientifically valuable skeletons.
