On Sunday morning, a 57-year-old hit a teenager on the hard shoulder of the Salzburg Tauern Autobahn (A10), which was open due to traffic jams. While swerving, the Bosnian collided with two other stationary cars.
Four vehicles involved in an accident
The 14-year-old was taken to hospital by helicopter after receiving first aid. The impact sent one of the two cars hit by the Bosnian into the back of another stationary car, resulting in a total of four vehicles involved in the accident.
In addition to the teenager who was hit, five other people had to be taken to hospital with injuries of an unknown nature. The road was completely closed for an hour and none of the motorists involved returned a positive breath test result.
