Four fire brigades and a helicopter had to be dispatched to Finkenstein in Carinthia to free a man, 35, who had accidentally stepped into a rock crusher in a gravel quarry. The man is seriously injured.
Jürgen Nessmann, commander of the Latschach volunteer fire brigade, reported: “The man’s body was trapped in the stone crusher for unknown reasons. To free him, we even had to disassemble machine parts together with the troops of FF Gödersdorf, Fürnitz and Faak am See !”
Freed from work machine
When the employee was freed from the work machine, he was immediately handed over to the A&E doctors after first aid. The man had to be flown to the LKH Villach seriously injured.
