A serious accident happened on Thursday evening in Schörfling am Attersee in Upper Austria. A shaker drilled into the right thigh of a 40-year-old woman. Her husband immediately turned the device off and took care of the seriously injured.
A 46-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district was on Wednesday around 6 p.m. in Schörfling am Attersee repairing his tractor with attached hay tedder. His 40-year-old partner helped him and fastened an iron bolt to the shaker. To do this, the 46-year-old had to start the tractor so that his partner could insert the bolt into the anchorage.
When getting into the tractor, the 46-year-old must have unknowingly grabbed the handle of the tedder and turned it on.

When the tractor was started, the tedder went off and the teeth dug into the 40-year-old’s right thigh. Her husband immediately turned off the tractor and took care of the woman. He was seriously injured and after first aid was taken by the emergency doctor to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Vöcklabruck.
