Alarm in central Vienna on Wednesday: around lunchtime there was a police operation in Renngasse, near Concordiaplatz. A boy allegedly expressed violence at a school there. The police are now looking for him.
“The operation at the high school has now ended,” said police spokesman Markus Dittrich. Students there had confided in the director: a classmate allegedly made several threats against other comrades and the school management. The police were immediately alerted. He is said to have announced an “act of violence” for Wednesday.
