A worker was killed in an explosion at an arms factory in Poland. A fire broke out in a company warehouse, police said on Monday. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
The plant’s director, Elzbieta Sreniawska, reported an explosion at the rocket fuel center, which opened just a few years ago. A 59-year-old worker was killed and another was injured. The factory fire brigade has now been able to extinguish the flames.

According to media reports, a rescue helicopter was in action. The affected town of Skarzysko-Kamienna is located about 125 kilometers south of Warsaw. The company produces, among other things, anti-tank guided missiles and short-range shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missile systems.
